As a part of modernisation programme, Airports Authority of India (AAI) awarded contract of construction of Integrated Passenger Terminal Building at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose  International (NSCBI) Airport in Kolkata for enhancement of airport capacity and facilities at the existing airport to ITD - ITD Cem JV, a consortium of Italian Thai Development Public Company Limited and ITD Cementation India Limited. The Suvarnabhumi International Airport at Bangkok, one of the best airports in the world, Mandalay International Airport, Myanmar, Don Muang (Bangkok) International Terminal Expansion and Ahmedabad Airport have all been built by Italian Thai Development Public Limited Company, Thailand.

The work at NSCBI Airport, Kolkata commenced in November 2008. The work at NSCBI entails: construction of existing International Terminal & Domestic Terminal to Integrated Passenger Terminal with an annual traffic of 20Million; (earlier capacity being 1.01Million for International and 6.45 Million for Domestic Terminal) and  11 additional parking bays. With vast experience of the JV partner, the parent company, ITD - ITD Cem JV is executing this prestigious airport project with the following facilities:

	Integrated Passenger Terminal consisting of Internal Terminal and Domestic Terminal
	Service area providing car park at lower and upper basement
	Basic services and amenities for airport operations consisting of air conditioning, ventilation, electric cabling, illumination, power supply and fire fighting systems

For the NSCBI modernisation project, ITD - ITD Cem JV is working with internationally recognised specialist planners, architectural and engineering design consultants, vendors of high–tech specialised airport systems and international contractors to implement the latest technologies for the construction and operational effectiveness of the airport and to provide world class facilities.
